Where are you from? Where do you live?
I grew up in Sestri Levante, Liguria, a quiet town on the coast. Then, at a certain point, things become unsatisfying, and you feel the need to go away. It’s been three years that I live in Milan, a different kind of life. I miss the sea.
How old are you?
How do you pay your bills?
At the moment I pay my bills working in a fine art photography printing studio, and I make up my wages working as a photography assistant during weekends, working for commission and hopefully selling few of my prints.
Are you working as a professional photographer?
That’s the goal. But what matters is that photography will occupy a great share of my time and energy.
What cameras do you use?
As analogic cameras,I use a Yaschica FX3, a Leica M6, a Mamiya 645 Super, a Polaroid Spectra Image, a Lomo Diana, a Lomo Sardina. A digital Nikon D700.
I love shooting film.
Any photographer or artist inspiring you?
Maia Flore, Annie Leppala, Ryan Mc Ginley, Francesca Woodman, Diana Arbus, Sarah Moon, Deborah Turbeville, Melissa Ann Pinney, Olivia Bee, Laura Makabresku. But I would call these “elective affinities”.
What/who do you enjoy to shoot the most?
Whatever I can shoot and I want to shoot.
Do you believe in god?
I believe in good and evil.
What do you drink on a night out?
White wine or a stout, to start.
Do you like dancing?
I love it! I did it for 14 years.

Are you a fashion addicted?
I don’t think so.

Scrubs, Dexter and How I Met Your Mother.

What’s the country of your dreams?
I’ve changed my mind so many times recently that I think that the country of my dreams will find me, rather than the other way around.
Have you ever been to Iceland?
Unfortunately not. But my best friend and I love to go somewhere, elsewhere,and get lost there, for at least three months: Iceland could be the destination.
